This Corten steel bed is as beautiful as it is durable. It assembles easily by locking the four panels together, and its thin profile maximizes your planting area.

Note: Corten Steel arrives with a bare steel finish that will weather over time with exposure to the elements. Beds should be placed on grass or gravel during the weathering process to avoid staining adjacent material. Tip: Spray the steel with a vinegar/salt solution to speed up the weathering process.

Made in India - VERY heavy, nickel/steel blend

I was excited to apply the patina formula to these, but the metal content seems to be more nickel than steel, which resists being rusted. Each panel required 4-5 sandings just to get a semi-rust patina, which is the main appeal of corten steel. The exterior side where panels connect together still have not rusted at the same rate as the rest of the face of the panel, so now the appearance is part grey metal and part rust patina. Very frustrating.
